Foundation Phase

Our youth football club develops aspiring young football players into future leaders & decision makers. Under the guidance of our UEFA/FA qualified coaches, your child can further develop their skills on the pitch and play for a team in the echo junior league.

Here’s an overview of the Loughton Foundation Phase (Currently Under 7’s to Under 11’s)

Youth league football begins at school year 2 (under 7’s) and our teams play in the Echo Junior Football League.


  • Under 7’s & under 8’s play 5-a-side football.
  • Under 9’s & under 10’s play 7-a-side football.
  • Under 11’s & under 12’s play 9-a-side football.
  • Thereon after our under 13’s and upwards will play 11-a-side football which start preparing for feeding into Adult Clubs.

All Loughton Town FC teams are managed by FA or UEFA qualified coaches who have a Fully Enhanced DBS certificate, Emergency Aid certificate and Safeguarding Children certificate.


A positive learning environment

Our Saturday Academy provides children with a football training set-up they can enjoy and learn from every Saturday morning.


Here at Loughton Town FC, we promote socialising, sharing human values and the celebration of being able to play the marvellous sport of football.


Our sessions are always pre-organised and ready before the children arrive. Extra care is taken to prepare an age & ability appropriate curriculum for each child, providing a future development pathway for all children.
